Humble Beginnings…

London Teaching Pool Ltd (TLTP) was founded in 2006 by Darryl Mydat who today is the company’s, Chief Executive Officer. The company started with just 3 employees on the 13th floor of a rundown building block where it felt like you were in the Antarctic during the Winter and Sahara Desert during the Summer. With sealed in windows, a leaking roof, no air conditioning and just about having the basic necessities; the team persevered knowing their hard work and determination will one day pay off.

Over the years the TLTP team have built an excellent reputation through its transparent, professional and partnership-based approach to staffing solutions in the Education and Medical sectors.

April 2006 - TLTP Education

London Teaching Pool Ltd. (TLTP Education) commenced trading in April 2006 and initially concentrated its efforts on the provision of supply staff to the education sector. Shortly after the company extended its offering to permanent staffing which also included securing placements for Early Career Teachers (formally known as Newly Qualified Teachers), classroom assistants, support staff and administration staff; helping them to kick start their teaching career and allowing a new generation of teachers to flourish.

Over the years TLTP Education have continued to excel in the industry. Each year the company has achieved the REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) Audited Award – the gold standard in safeguarding. Safety has always been the company’s top priority and this achievement is a reflection of TLTP’s robust recruitment and vetting standards following the latest DfE, Central Government and REC legislation and guidance.

London Teaching Pool Ltd achieved recognition with its appointment by Crown Commercial Services under framework RM3826 to supply staff to schools under the Supply Teacher Framework.

September 2008 - TLTP Medical

Encouraged by year-on-year growth, in September 2008 TLTP Medical was launched. This is a division specialising in the supply of allied health professionals, nurses and primary care workers to the NHS and private sector.

The division has seen dramatic growth over the years, as its stands today London Teaching Pool Ltd is now on several frameworks and Preferred Supplier Agreements including; Care Quality Commission (CQC), Crown Commercial Service (CCS), NHS London Procurement Partnership (LPP), Health Trust Europe (HTE) and NHS Collaborative Procurement Partnership (CPP).

TLTP experienced great success and as the company expanded and demand increased, additional staff was employed and it wasn’t long before TLTP outgrew the run-down office on the 13th floor.

Darryl had big dreams for TLTP, a vision he wanted to see become a reality. In order to achieve this, more office space was required and in May 2015 TLTP moved to a newly refurbished, much larger office, with plenty of room for further growth and most importantly the staff to have and enjoy all the amenities of a modern office.

April 2023 - New HQ

After 8 years, it was time for further expansion to support the company’s growth and ambitions. The leadership team embarked on a strategic planning process to assess new market opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and scale the business

This was a big moment for the company. The leaders made bold choices and took smart risks to move closer to their goal of being a market leader. The move to Romford included 2000 square feet increase in office size, space to grow the business by another hundred staff internally as well as providing better amenities for the staff. With a clear roadmap in place, the company set its sights on accelerated growth and innovation, laying the foundation for a future defined by success and industry impact.
